「100万人の母たち〜七夕プロジェクト〜」とは?(英語版)

The "One Million Mothers Tanabata Project" is sending a petition to the Prime Minister of Japan.
On July 7th, we're going to hold an event with the purpose of informing Japanese Prime Minister Abe of our deepest wish - to permanently get rid of nuclear power plants. People who want to protect the children from nuclear radiation will come together from all over the world for this event!
On Tanabata day, July 7th, let's bring our wish to the Prime Minister's residence in Tokyo. Tanabata is the day the lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi can see each other - and it only occurs once a year, as they are crossing the Milky Way. Overcoming barriers, the two that had been separated will be together again. In the same way, people from different cultures will join together and demand in a single voice the end to nuclear power and nuclear weapons.
(There is a book called 100 mothers which symbolizes the nurturing, mothering spirit that wants to protect each and every child in the world. This spirit does not only belong to mothers, but also to fathers, and to all children - which means all people. We will gather wishes from all over the world.)
For the sake of peace in our lives and our future, let's get together with all the people in the world and get our lives, our culture, and our government back.
We won't send a message that is aggressive or critical, but we will use the beauty of culture and creative action.
We wish for an end to nuclear power and nuclear weapons.
